Legal
Terms of use
The terms below govern this website and any software you obtain directly from codonic.dev.
Effective 11 August 2026
1. Which terms apply
Software you obtain from the Apple App Store or Google Play is licensed to you under that store’s own end user licence terms, together with any additional terms shown on the store listing. Those terms take precedence for store purchases. The terms on this page apply to this website and to software you download directly from us.
2. Licence
Subject to these terms, Codonic grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use our software on devices you own or control, for as many of your own devices as you like. You may make copies for backup purposes.
You may not:
- redistribute, resell, rent, lease or sublicense the software;
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice, or circumvent any licensing or code-signing mechanism;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent that this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- use the software to break the law.
3. Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. Codonic and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in and to the software, including all intellectual property rights. All third-party trademarks named on this site — including Apple, Mac, macOS, iPad, iPadOS, iPhone, iOS, Apple Pencil, Windows and Android — are the property of their respective owners, and their use here is descriptive only and does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.
4. Updates
We may release updates from time to time. We are not obliged to do so, and we do not guarantee that any particular feature will continue to be available or that the software will remain compatible with future operating system versions. Our software does not update itself silently.
5. Warranty disclaimer
Except where prohibited by law, the software and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.
Maintaining backups of your data is your responsibility.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codonic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the software or this website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the software in the twelve months preceding the claim, or, where the software was supplied free of charge, twenty euros.
7. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights under the law of your country of residence which these terms do not affect.
8. Export and sanctions
You may not use or export our software in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions law.
9. Termination
This licence terminates automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the software. Sections 3, 5, 6 and 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Codonic is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts there shall have exclusive jurisdiction — save that, if you are a consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings in, and to the protection of the mandatory laws of, your country of habitual residence.
11. Changes
We may revise these terms. The effective date above will change, and the revised terms apply to your continued use of the website and to software downloaded after that date.
